Spring is Here!

I love this season!  The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming everywhere.  I don't know about you, but I feel as if the hope "switch" in my brain has been turned on as of the first day of spring.

This past Saturday, I had the privilege of filming a gorgeous wedding at one of my FAVORITE NEW LOCATIONS: Saddlerock Ranch/Malibu Family Wines  (It's not a new location, just new to me.)  It was absolutely gorgeous perched up on a hilltop surrounded by vineyards.  The clouds were very low this weekend,  and it felt like we had all been transported to Tuscany. Very peaceful, very beautiful, very private- check it out. Oh and the wedding... AMAZING!  I'll post some film stills and/or footage asap!

Doug from Candid Moments Photography **an amazing wedding & family photographer from the East Coast** was recently in L.A. and we had the awesome pleasure of doing a "family photo session" -well actually it was just me and my little one- but it was so fun.  And I absolutely love the photos.  So here is a shout out to Doug and his crew.   (FYI-  check out their website- they love to travel to CA among other places- in fact they just back from an gorgeous wedding in Sicily.... SO JEALOUS!)

Wow, what can I say besides....THANK YOU to you and Aaron for our incredible wedding video! We finally had some nice private time to view it last night....and needless to say we smiled and cried the entire time! We couldn't help but watch it two times in a row...and I am dying to watch it again right now! Thank you for so beautifully and meticulously capturing the most incredible day of our lives....you two are so very talented! Having you two honor our day in such a unique way is the best decision we made in our wedding planning process! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! And Happy Belated Valentines Day to you!

What a cutie!

Oh my goodness!  Sedona is such a sweetie!  We followed her 3 times throughout her first year with our Super 8 cameras.  What a gorgeous way to document the first year of your baby's life.  And we've had a great time seeing her grow.  Thanks Roger and Denise for letting us share in your life this year.  What an honor for us.  Here are a few Super 8 stills from the year.

Spotlight on officiants...JP Reynolds

Ok so we go to a lot of weddings... We have seen and heard MANY, MANY ceremonies.  And we've learned from experience that an officiant can make or break a wedding.  There many wonderful officiants in L.A., but one of our ABSOLUTE FAVORITES is JP Reynolds.  You may have seen him on CBS when he officiated reality show sweethearts Rob and Amber's wedding (from Survivor and The Amazing Race.)  If you missed it, he has a link on his website.  

He also officiated at a beautiful wedding we filmed at the Biltmore, and we have never been so moved by a ceremony.  There was not a dry eye in the room, but there was also laughter and joy.  What an amazing combination, and what an amazing gift.  If you don't have a minister, check him out!  (You'll thank us.)

It started in San Francisco...

Sean & Cheryl are so sweet!  They met and fell in love in San Francisco, but were married in Pasadena.  We followed them to SF for a day to see where it all began. Then we combined the Super 8 footage with photos of their lives- the result a beautiful engagement film that premiered at Sean and Cheryl's wedding rehearsal and their beautiful wedding reception at the fantastic Cafe Santorini Rococco Room.

Alex & Karen's gorgeous Kentucky/California Fusion Wedding at the Ojai Valley Inn and Spa

Alex & Karen are so awesome!  She's a southern beauty from Kentucky, and he's a fun-loving California surfer.  They met and fell in love in Ojai- so the ultra luxurious and peaceful Ojai Valley Inn and Spa was the perfect setting for them to tie the knot.  Their wedding was little bit Kentucky (see the Maker's Mark Whisky shots below,) a little bit modern fairy tale, and a whole lot of LOVE!  Karen and Alex's wedding was shot entirely on 16mm film it looks amazing, here are a few stills from their beautiful day...
